Little Babylon
Rezone inspires the audience to become aware of the influence of the very fast developments of new media technologies and online networks on the future of our city. These often invisible networks of cameras, sensors, social media, online forums, local government data and news items have a huge impact on our city of today and tomorrow. The musing pavilion shows the feeling of the city in image and sound. The structure is constantly moving. Little Babylon was built by Rezone in co production with Lust, ONL and Studio Air Design. It will be exhibited during SHINE festival 7-17 may 2015.

Rezone wil dat het publiek zich bewust wordt van de invloed van de razendsnelle ontwikkelingen van nieuwe media technologieën en online netwerken op de toekomst van de stad. Deze nog vaak onzichtbare netwerken van camera’s, sensoren, social-media, online fora, gemeentelijke data en nieuwsitems hebben een grote impact op de huidige en toekomstige stad.
Het mijmerend paviljoen toont het sentiment van de stad in beeld en geluid. Het gebouw is constant in beweging. Het paviljoen is in opdracht van Rezone ontwikkeld door Lust, ONL en Studio Air Design. Het is te zien in het Paleiskwartier van 7-17 mei 12:00 – 0:00 (met uitzondering van 7 mei vanaf 19:00 en in de weekeinde tot 01:00)
